A lot of training these days leans heavily on theory. It’s all textbooks, certifications and concepts, but not much time is spent actually doing the work. Understanding how something works is one thing, but being able to sit down and figure it out in practice is something else entirely.
That’s what pushed me to start Tech Tutoring.
I’m Ryan, and a big part of where I am today comes from the time I spent in my Homelab. I learned by breaking things, rebuilding them and trying again until it made sense. That hands-on experience gave me skills that stuck, and it set me on the path to becoming a senior engineer.
Now I want to pass that on.
Tech Tutoring is about giving people a space to learn by doing. It’s a place where you can get hands-on with real equipment, experiment, make mistakes and figure things out alongside others. It’s not just about teaching, it’s about learning together.
Along the way, you build practical skills, you meet like-minded people and you form real connections through shared experience.
That’s what this is all about.
